ADOPTED ON 06-09-23 The rescue story for Della and her littermates is a part of “Something Good”, which is designed to remind us of all the goodness in the world. The rescue job is rewarding and different stories that evolve take us to another way of rescuing and every once in a great while we get to help dogs that never experienced anything other than love.
Della was born on 11/25/22 and weighs about 15 lbs. Her story and that of her siblings are like many in the south. A dog wonderful owner that love and cares for their dogs was accidental pregnant before they could get her fixed. In order for them to be sure that these pups found loving homes, the family loving animals like all of us, asked RDVG for help finding the pups a home where they would have a wonderful life.
Della is described by her foster as being incredibly gentle, sweet, and quite unique for how calm she is when the littermate’s game gets crazy. She loves the human hugs and to be scratched behind her ears. In the video below, it shows how friendly engages in play with the children in the foster home, which is a perfect addition to a “loves to go outside dog” family.
Della is very social and absolutely enjoys playing and if she is invited by a human or another dog she will roll around endlessly together, making magical smiles appear on all our faces! She's smart enough to know her little size and she gets out of the way for larger humans or animals. Those that witness the whit of this sweet dog when in a flash, she runs underneath humans or dogs as they fetch the balls-- quite a sight to see!
