Meet Graham! Graham is a 2 year old Shepherd mix. He is a fun guy with a lot of personality and energy. Graham would love to find an active adopter who enjoys the outdoors. His foster tells us that he loves to play tug and plays with his toy stick in the yard. He loves his deer antler and peanut butter filled bones at night. He enjoys chest rubs and learning new things. She tells us his mind is "ready to work". He very much wants to please his "person". He is currently in dog school learning some basic manners and will come with his training provided by Obedient Blue to his new family at no cost.
We feel Graham is highly trainable and would do best with an adopter who has dog experience, at this time we feel he would do best in a home without other animals or young children as he needs an adopter who can dedicate the time and attention to him.
Graham is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and preventatives.
Thank you Lyndsay at Obedient Blue for fostering Graham!

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, we do check Vet references and personal references. Once processed we then do a home visit and met and greet. We do have an adoption agreement that the adopter must sign at the time of the adoption. Our adoption fee is $300.

Go meet their pets
Meet and greets are scheduled once a potential adopter's adoption application has been approved. We do not have a physical location, all dogs are in foster homes. Another great way to meet our dogs is at events. All events are posted on our Facebook page so check back frequently!

More about this rescue
Black Dogs & Company Rescue (BD&CR) rescues dogs from high kill shelters in Maryland and surrounding states. We are an all breed rescue but specialize in black dogs. Please read about black dog syndrome. These dogs are the last to be adopted (if at all) so they have a hard time leaving the shelter. You may have also noticed the old english sheepdog in our logo. We are the regional contact for OES rescue. They are not the dog for everyone but once you own one (and walk the sheepie way) you will love the breed!
