Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Bagel is the happiest pup you’ll ever meet, with a personality that will melt your heart. He is a blend of Carolina Dog/American Staffy that is almost 3 years old. His tail never stops wagging, he is just that excited about life! This big, lovable boy craves companionship, always eager to please with a big, goofy smile on his face.
Whether you are looking for an adventure buddy or a couch companion, Bagel is up for both! He loves going on walks, getting the zoomies in the backyard, and curling up in cozy blankets for a movie night. At 102 pounds, he is working on shedding a few extra holiday pounds with plenty of exercise.
Bagel is crate trained, potty trained, and has been working hard at training camp to refine his skills for a smooth transition into his forever home. Despite having diminished vision from a head injury as a puppy, he navigates life with confidence, occasionally bumping into things in new environments but adapting quickly.
With proper introductions and management, Bagel could do well with another dog his size. He attends doggy daycare weekly, where he enjoys making friends and playing with his buddies. However, he is not suited for a home with cats, as he will chase them if they run.
While Bagel loves children, he would do best in a home with older kids who understand boundaries. He has shown some resource guarding with food and toys, which can be managed with separate feeding areas and supervised playtime. He also experiences occasional excitement urination when meeting new people or in new places, but a male wrap can help in those situations.
Bagel needs a family committed to continuing his socialization and training to help him thrive. If you adopt him, you can even take over his Facebook page, Not So Little Bagel Bites!

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!
PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.
Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.
Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
