My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Panda! (Or "Pandie" as one of her favorite trainers affectionately calls her.) When Panda first came to us she was so terrified and shut down she would not even look our way. We found her curled up and trembling in a (very cold) shelter in December. When we brought her outside to put her in the car, she was so afraid, she immediately tried to hide underneath the car. Once Panda was given a chance to decompress and sleep (for a few days) she started to come out of her shell. She made friends with the two resident dogs and was eager to explore the comforts of a warm home.
Panda weighs 55 lbs., 3-4 years old and housebroken. If kids in family, they should be 13 years or older. Pandie was afraid of the world and needed help. Luckily we were able to get help from Stand Proud Training who took Panda in for several weeks and helped build an amazing foundation! Panda knows all of her basic obedience and is such a fun girl to work with! She is one smart pup! Panda takes a bit to warm up to new people and will need to be allowed to move at her own pace but once she knows you she is a true wiggle butt and is oh so affectionate!!
Panda loves to please, loves to make you laugh and although she likes to be active she has proven to be a real lounge buddy. Panda's forever person would need to be dog savvy and willing to be committed to her continued training as she will have lifetime training support from Stand Proud Training. Panda is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. Please complete our online application if you are interested in adopting Panda.
