Matcha is a Yorkie Mix boy weighing 9 pounds. He is 4 years old and is being fostered in Vero Beach, FL.
Dogs being fostered in Florida must be adopted within the State of Florida.
Updated Bio 5/10/23: Matcha has continued to be a cuddle bug and lap dog. He loves to be with his humans at all times and has separation anxiety. Therefore, he will need someone who is home most of the time, or can take him with them. He was used to having children in the home and a young family would make him happy, but isn't necessary. Watching him chase lizards is pretty funny! He would love to have a fenced in yard or a sunny screened Lanai. Matcha loves to walk and is getting much better at walking on a leash. He doesn't really like toys but loves his ball, especially when you throw it for him to fetch.
He is completely vetted and up to date on his vaccines. He has had his dental with two extractions. But that doesn't stop him from enjoying his food and treats. He is now up to a normal weight for his size at 9 1/2 lbs. Matcha is ready for his forever home. Updated Bio 4/12/23: Meet Matcha! This cutie with the best butterfly ears we have ever seen, is 4 years old. Right now he weighs a skinny 8.9 lbs. but a healthier weight would be closer to 9 1/2 lbs.
Matcha has been in his foster home for less than a week and what we can tell you is that he is so very sweet and cuddly. If you are looking for a lap dog, Matcha is your boy! He is very friendly with people and seems friendly with other small calm dogs. He appears to be housetrained, as he has made only one mistake, and that was right after he arrived. He loves to walk and is learning to walk properly on a leash. He rides well in a car. Matcha got a clean bill of health and is up to date on vaccines. He will have a dental in a couple of weeks. By then we should know what he will need in a forever home. Stay tuned for updates on this little sweetie.
Initial Bio 4/8/2023: Matcha came to UYR as an owner surrender. He is a sweet boy who needs to have updated vetting. So far he seems super sweet. AS we learn more about Matcha we will update his bio here.
