Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
WISKERS is a very sweet boy. He will follow you around and want to be your best friend. He kind of wants all of your attention and loves people but we do think he would do best by himself or with 1 female. Suzan is the lady who rescued him, and she absolutely adores him. Her husband is allergic to cats, but she would love to keep in touch if you pick this stud muffin. Giving him up was difficult for her but he came to her to be rescued and that is what she did. Wiskers is from Ben Avon heights. Meet this handsome baby and I know you will fall in love. He has some very unique coloring on him. Wiskers fur coat almost looks like he has a leopard pattern. He would be best as an only cat or possibly with a female companion.
,,,,,,A little bit about me, is my rescue is on the 2nd-3rd floors of my Pittsburgh home. Once I get the kitties fully vetted, I let them be free to play and snuggle as they please. So, if you want to come and visit call, text or email. Picking a companion animal is easier in person, then it is from a photo. Plus I don't take the best photos. I rescued and live with the cats so I am very familiar with their personalities. Vetting fees have also gone up a lot, just like everything else. The little bit of money we make off of adoptions goes right back into the mix to help the next stray in need. I do not get the funding like the big nonprofits so adopting from me supports what I do - I pull theses helpless animals from the streets of Pittsburgh. The other big names take cats from inside of homes, I give the other ones a chance.
WISKERS is fully vetted, he is neutered, has 2 FVRCP vaccines, rabies, dewormed, and microchipped. He is also combo tested for FIV and FeLV (negative). The test alone would cost $120 at a private vet, but she has everything possible and needs nothing but your love and care.
I have great reviews on Google, people seem to like my set up and how I do things so If you are looking to adopt, give a small rescue with about 15 cats to choose from a chance.
If you are on Tik Toc follow us @saveourstrays.pgh and see some of the amazing rescues we have done and follow to see who we save next!
Save Our Strays uses some of our profits and donations to get surgeries done for cats that have no one to pay to get them spayed/neutered (TNR). Our first two years we sterilized over 100 community cats, preventing 1000s of them from being born outside.
If you are interested in any of the cats, please call & leave a voicemail or send a text .412 863 0064. I do not have a long application process, just call and talk to me to set up an appointment. I am always available via phone with any questions you might have, even down the road.
