My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SASHA- this little girl wants to be loved so bad. She is very friendly and wants all the love you can give her, once familiar with you. She loves to be petted and is very food motivated. Open a can of cat food and she will be right there. This poor little girl had an owner and when she became sick they put her outside and kept their other cat inside. Sasha stuck around that house. A family that knows the situation contacted me for help after they watched it go on for awhile. SASHA was laying on the porch as people walked by her with a severe mouth infection and was suffering . With out care the infection would of killed her. For a measly $400 ,we gladly saved SASHAs life. All she needed was her teeth pulled out. She's such a sweet little thing- ......just gums though. This sweet,sweet girl needs someone to mend her heart from what the cruel world has done to her. There is no torte a tude with this girlie. She is very nice and not a spicy bone in her widdle body. She eats and acts just like a cat with teeth.

SASHA is fully vetted. That means spayed, dewormed, -2 vaccines for FVRCP, microchipped and tested for FeLV & FIV ( negative). The combo test alone at a private vet will cost $120 but we already paid and did all the hard work for you. They need nothing but your love and care.

,,,,,,,A little bit about me, is my rescue is on the 2nd-3rd floors of my Pittsburgh home. Once I get the kitties fully vetted, I let them be free to play and snuggle as they please. So if you want to come and visit call, text or email. Picking a companion animal is easier in person, then it is from a photo. Plus I don"t take the best photos. I rescued and live with the cats so I am very familiar with their personalities. Vetting fees have also gone up a lot, just like everything else. The little bit of money we make off of adoptions goes right back into the mix to help the next stray in need. I do not get the funding like the big non profits so adopting from me supports what I do.....I pull theses helpless animals from the streets of Pittsburgh. The other big names take cats from inside of homes, I give the other ones a chance.

I have great reviews on Google, people seem to like my set up and how I do things so If you are looking to adopt, give a small rescue with about 25 cats to choose from a chance.

Save Our Strays uses some of our profits and donations to get surgeries done for cats that have no one to pay to get them spayed/neutered (TNR). Our first two years we sterilized over 100 community cats, preventing 1000s of them from being born outside.
