Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Behaviors: playful and ohhh so sweet, yet very calm and did I mention sweet 🙂!!
Cats: she has never met one up close and personal, but she sees them out in the pasture and watches them but does not chase or bother them. I think in time she would adapt to a cat. She is very docile.
Other dogs: she loves the other foster we have and also my two resident dogs. She is very playful and even though she is much larger than they are , she is so gentle with them. Although, she doesn’t like when my small male chihuahua mix resident dog thinks he’s a big boy and decides he wants to “playhouse” lol. She is not having it; she is done with men and does not want to have more babies!!
Children: not tested but I can only imagine she would be amazing with kiddos. Fast, unpredictable movements still do scare her to some degree.
Adults: very loving. She takes a little time to trust still but within a few minutes she will be ready to accept all the loves.
Potty Training Progress: very good! She knows to go outside when she is out. She has had some accidents in the house but as long as she goes out often enough and on a good schedule, she does very well.
Other behavioral info: Meryl Sheep is the best baby girl. It actually pains me to type this as I could keep this girl forever. The only reason I don’t is because I know she will find a perfect home and that leaves me with more space to foster more incoming pups. She is so playful. She is not destructive but is a little sneaky. She has eaten a sock and vomited it back up, so to keep socks, wash clothes etc. up out of her reach is advised. Again, she is very sneaky and will snatch things without me knowing. She loves toys! Mainly just getting them out of the toy bin after I’ve put them all up lol. Once out, she plays with them some, but I do think getting them out is by far her favorite activity. Meryl loves to play outside and while she doesn’t always come quite yet when called (I think she knows her name but then sometimes I don’t think that… probably selective hearing a bit lol), she does stay close to her human and has never ever bolted or gone too far from the door. She likes to be a lioness and hide behind the 4-inch-high weeds and pounce her brother and sisters as they walk by. I think she thinks she’s teeny tiny lol. Meryl Sheep does great with other dogs and has seen cats, horses, donkeys and goats. She likes to watch the outdoor animals but doesn’t not bark at them or bother them. She rarely barks at all actually, unless someone knocks at the door. She is a pretty quiet little lady. She loves bath time and treats make her little stumpy tail move 100mph.
She sleeps so well on a soft bed beside my bed. She is not a huge fan of the crate. I leave her out while I’m gone, only for a short time, and she does very well. She has very few accidents and does not chew up or destroy anything. She truly is an angel pup and whoever gets this sweetie pie, she will be one of those that brings so much joy to your home. Her soft cotton ball head and big round eyes will melt your heart.
Great things about Meryl Sheep: everything!
But especially her very docile demeanor, her willingness to be loved, she is almost completely potty trained, and she is embracing her new freedom with gusto. I can tell she is so very thankful because she gives me sweet kisses when we have our heart-to-heart talks about how far she has come.
Other things to know about Meryl Sheep:
She is an angel in disguise.
She isn’t a fan of a crate (which is a far cry from when I got her because I could barely pull her out of the crate on the first and second day) nor a leash. She is learning that leashes can be fun though, slowly but surely.
