Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Behaviors: She is very sweet and loves to be loved on. She is still learning that not all humans are bad, so sometimes she will shy away and run from foster. She has come a long with that though from the day she came in to rescue. She does great with her foster sister (large breed) and two small resident dogs. She does not like the leash too well, nor a crate. Her preference is to be inside in her cozy bed or on a lap getting loves. She sleeps in her bed next to foster's bed all night. She does bark at sounds and is startled easily. She would make a great dog for slow going individual or couple, with a very predictable schedule and little to no loud noises and/or quick comings or goings. She doesn’t do great on car rides, as she does get carsick that is triggered by anxiety. Although, if a trip is necessary, to limit her food/drink intake prior to, will help tremendously.
Cats: not tested directly but she has seen them outside through the window and is not at all fazed.
Other dogs: she does well with adult dogs but puppies she tends to go into mother mode and protect them. She really would do well with another older dog or as by herself.
Children: young children not tested but again, fast, unpredictable movements make her scared.
Older, calm children are fine.
Adults: it takes her some time to adjust, but she will as long as they are slow going and patient with her
Potty Training Progress: pad trained and when outside she does know to go. I would say she is 98% trained.
Other behavioral info: she eats and drinks well and loves her treats! She is such a fast learner and as shown that she will adapt in time.
Great things about HHR Olive:
She loves love and is growing to want more and more, she is so so so so smart, she is very healthy, she loves to sunbathe on her soft bed, and she gives the best little kisses once she is comfortable with you. Just a true sweetie pie!
