My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AKC Registered Male Akita is available for adoption. We are assisting a family in finding an amazing home for this sweet boy.
Teddy is a purebred, neutered male Akita.
He will be celebrating his 3rd birthday on May 8th this year!
He has been raised around small kids so he will patiently escort them around the backyard and clean up the floor after their meals.
He is a little slow to warm up to strangers but as soon as you're on the inside circle you're there forever and will be treated to his silly standing-up dance when you come home.
Teddy likes female dogs when he is given a proper introduction. He has had male dog friends but prefers to not share a home with them.
Teddy would be happy to watch YOU fetch a ball, he's really more of a chill inside and enjoy the air conditioning type of guy.
Teddy cannot be around cats or other small animals.
He needs a fenced in yard.
Teddy has been healthy throughout his life though may have some very mild seasonal allergies.
He has been insured through Trupanion his entire life.
Teddy has done a board and train session with Underdog Academy and he would be proud to show you what he learned. He also made good friends there and they will be happy to follow up with a free in-home session to help with transitioning into a new family.
If adopted locally, Teddy will come with a lifetime platinum wellness plan through Clearview Veterinary Hospital. This plan includes free exams, all vaccines, a discount on heartworm prevention, annual wellness bloodwork and dentals annually if necessary.
Teddy did have a preventative gastropexy at the time of his neuter. (Preventative measure to prevent bloat which can occur in larger dogs).
