Here's Johnny! This little guy is a bundle of fun and he's looking for the perfect family in which to thrive. We know nothing of his past other than that he and his siblings ended up at the pound when they were about 6 months old. One of the siblings was incredibly sweet and affectionate, one was terrified and could not be safely handled, and Johnny fell squarely in the middle; he is scared of change and it takes him time to get used to new environments and people, but once he is comfortable with you, he's a real sweetie. He's looking for a cat-experienced family that can help him come out of his shell and lived a fulfilled and happy life.

Johnny is just shy of a year old and he really loves to play. His favourite things in his foster home are the other cat and the dog, but he also really loves to play with toys. In fact, play is the key to this boy's heart. He absolutely loves to play & cuddle with the large dog in his foster home, and he enjoys playing with the cat too. He will do best in a home where there is a cat-friendly dog to snuggle with and a kitty friend to wrestle with. A younger, larger kitty would probably be best as a match for Johnny because he may be a bit too much for an older kitty.

Despite needing a home with other pets, he needs one where the humans have a calm energy. Someone who is patient and has experience working with shy cats will be best. Johhny will need a dedicated owner who is willing to play with him several times a day to help burn his energy, and who will make sure his nails stay trimmed (he is very handsy when he plays.)

Once Johnny knows you, he likes to snuggle and will actually nip at your hands if you stop petting him when he wants attention. If you're asleep, he will nip your nose to wake you, and will give you head boops if you ignore him. A regular play schedule and friends to play with will be important for Johnny.

Although Johnny is great with pets and people that he knows, he still gets nervous when he hears loud noises (he will hide.) He is getting braver with noises he recognizes (other creatures, doors opening/closing, etc.) but it takes him time to get to know the sounds in a new environment. Since he can be a bit nervous with sounds and fast movements, Johnny will not do well in a home with a child.

He loves to play, but Johnny also really loves food. He needs to be meal-fed because he will become quite overweight if he's free-fed.
