Here's what the humans have to say about me:
River is a 1 and a half year old, Female, 50 lbs Retreiver Mix
River is currently located in South Texas and will be transported.
Hello, my name is River. I am so full of love despite of how I started my journey. My foster mom found me in a ditch after roaming the neighborhood for a few months, I was not at my best and she chose to save me, I was howling for help. She took me to the vet and besides some road rash nothing was broken. Now came a bigger challenge, getting introduced to my new siblings, an alpha dog and a cat. I was terrified! My sister tried to beat me up multiple times, but my mom wouldn’t let her. She kept saying I was special and needed help. Eventually my foster siblings grew to love me. Now we play together both inside and outside. The cat, she is chill and runs the house, she even lets me chase her every now and then. I have 2 human brothers also, ages 4 & 15 that I love very much. I so Love the rub downs and snacks that they leave behind. I’m opening up around men. I prefer to be an inside dog. I just love lounging on the couch or sprawling out on the tile to cool down. I do sleep in my house (kennel) at night. I love belly rubs and my little baby (kong) to chew on or else I find shoes. I would love to find a home with a brother or sister to play with, but I like to be the center of attention. So even if you don’t call me, I’m coming. I look forward to finding my furever family and growing and learning all kinds of things. I hope that is you.
