Meet Darby! (estimated DOB 6.2021, estimated weight 8lbs) This tiny, young terrier mix girl is super smart, and so so so cute! She is an active girl who is incredibly people oriented and adores company. She is a bit needy until she has a known routine. She is generally quiet but if unsure she can be vocal (Re:whiny/vocal) while she settles in. While with us she has slowly been integrated into playgroup with small, kind dogs. She does take a bit of time to warm up to other dogs and is particular about her dog friends. She loves to play after she knows they are safe play companions and lives to zoom about. She is also working on crate training and is very good in her crate, and is working basic house skills. She has been well-behaved and a joy to be around. Darby would be great as an only dog bff, or with a kind dog friend. We are looking an active, adult only home or older kind dog experience teens for her. We require a with a fully fenced yard. She is a fabulous girl seeking her fabulous adoptive humans. Please note: we have no DNA or parent proof that Darby is a Brussels Griffon or Cairn Terrier, that is only a guess and in there because we are required to put a breed mix on petfinder to post her.

Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in Western Washington (WA), and possibly Northern Oregon locations at caseworker discretion. No other out of state adoptions at this time. Adoption donation is $650.

THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE IN POULSBO, WA. MEET AND GREETS WILL TAKE PLACE THERE AS WELL.

- Western Washington (WA), and possibly Northern Oregon locations at caseworker discretion. No other out of state adoptions at this time.

1. Once the application is received it will be reviewed by that animals caseworker.

2. If your application is seen as a good fit to the pet you are applying for we will request photos of your fenced yard as well as your current crate or the crate you plan on purchasing.

3. Once received we will schedule a phone interview with you to discuss the pet and the next steps, should a match be seen.

(3) You must be at least 18 years of age to complete the application or to apply to adopt a companion animal. For the safety of children and dogs and limited information on dog the dogs interaction with children- R.E.D generally prefers/requires children in adoptive home to be approximately 5 or 6 years of age and up unless otherwise noted in the dog profile. All children must be behavior appropriate with animals. (4) R.E.D. does not a ship animals to out of state adopters.
