Gail is a beautiful red and white Husky mix, who always receives compliments. She is smart, active, but also the biggest love and snuggler you'll meet. She is approx 2 years old and estimated to be a September puppy, weighing about 40-50 lbs. Gail would be best with a canine experienced handler only because she is still young and active, and needs training complete. She also LOVES men, also loves women and is great with kids as young as 4/5 years old. Spayed, vaccinated, wormed. Gail is also a tripod, but don't let that fool you! She has no issues keeping up and going on walks, playing with other dogs, going up and down stairs, doesn't jump up on anything, etc. She would thrive as an only dog home, or with a like-sized sibling dog that likes to wrestle and rough house, and a home that will give her an active lifestyle in the ways of walks, playing in the yard, and on trips. She is fully crate trained, usually quiet but if excited she is vocal (typical Husky) and almost house broke..still has an occasional accident but getting there, she is learning to go to the door, I make sure she is on a routine and goes out often enough. Gail knows sit, kennel, and learning lie down. She also has a good idea of heel on a leash and walks pretty well as long as its a speed she can keep balance at. Gail will need to be in a no cat home.

This dog requires a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Adoption donation is $350.

THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE IN OLYMPIA, WA. MEET AND GREETS WILL TAKE PLACE THERE AS WELL.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION:

- Fully (visibly) fenced yard
- Sturdy/safe crate, due to the safety hazard wire crates will be not be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate).
- Western Washington (WA), and possibly Northern Oregon locations at caseworker discretion. No other out of state adoptions at this time.
- No cats

1. Once the application is received it will be reviewed by that animals caseworker.

2. If your application is seen as a good fit to the pet you are applying for we will request photos of your fenced yard as well as your current crate or the crate you plan on purchasing.

3. Once received we will schedule a phone interview with you to discuss the pet and the next steps, should a match be seen.

(3) You must be at least 18 years of age to complete the application or to apply to adopt a companion animal. For the safety of children and dogs and limited information on dog the dogs interaction with children- R.E.D generally prefers/requires children in adoptive home to be approximately 5 or 6 years of age and up unless otherwise noted in the dog profile. All children must be behavior appropriate with animals. (4) R.E.D. does not a ship animals to out of state adopters.
