Ash is a handsome guy looking for a chill home where he can relax and enjoy life at a slower pace. He is loving the only dog life in his foster home-cause who wouldn’t love all the attention! He does like companionship of other canines but it takes him a minute to become adjusted to new situations,so patience with introductions is a must. He enjoyed some vacation time in another foster home and played well with his foster brother. He loves the quiet but also relishes some play time with toys and a spirited game a fetch. He loves treats and is ripe to learn some new tricks as long as food is involved. Ash is one smart cookie and is housetrained and uses a doggie door like a pro. Ash has lots of love to give and would fit right into a quiet, adult only home.

All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Ash will go to his / her new home microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
