Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Milan is a sweet cat with a bold personality - he has strong preferences and is a cat of action! His foster parents have taken to calling him The Captain because he has sort of a military vibe - he's often surveying his surroundings with a stern look. He'll often walk around a room doing "perimeter checks," just looking in drawers and behind furniture, seeming to make sure that everything is in order.
Milan loves to play and enjoys literally any cat toy given him. His favorites are the little fuzzy mice (he's especially partial to one that makes little squeaky noises) and plush kick toys (right now he has a purple shark he loves to wrestle with). He has one fun trick of climbing up onto the bed underneath the covers and taking a nap in there like a little lump. Then when it's food time, the lump comes alive!
Milan he looooves his people. He'll follow his foster parents from room to room (especially the bathroom!) and just hang out nearby or lie next to them. He really enjoys a good head scratch and being petted. He'll seek you out, weave around your legs and will purr up a storm until you give him affection! He's a lover at heart and would rather keep you company and protect you from all dangers!
Milan isn't much for sitting right on your lap, but he likes to be nearby, sitting on a cattree next to his foster parent’s desk or on the couch with them while watching TV. He loves a nice active petting session where you put out your hand and he does most of the work!
Milan is handsome and brave, but really seems to want love most of all. He seems like he'd be a super loyal friend.
While Milan has lived with other cats, we find he would be happiest as a solo cat in his forever home. He really just wants all of your attention for himself.
If you would like to meet and possibly adopt this amazing feline, please email info@chicagocatrescue.org or call 773/203-0215. No texts, please.
CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.
At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally, cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.
Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.
Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster-based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
