Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Easter has a sweet, affectionate and gentle disposition. She is 50 pounds of love and joy, and would be a great addition to any family. Cuddling, kisses and belly rubs are her favorite. She is very intelligent and would love an active home where she can exercise her body and mind every day. Fetch is her favorite game! Give her space to run and chase tennis balls and she will be one happy girl.
This gorgeous girl has been through a lot. She was abandoned by her family last year, which resulted in her being confined to a shelter kennel for 7 months. During that time, the dogs in the kennel next to her pulled her long, beautiful tail through the kennel and chewed it off, leaving her to need a full tail amputation. When we heard this, we had to get this girl out and into a loving foster home immediately. We think her stubby tail makes her even more unique! Despite all of the unfortunate circumstances that happened to her, she loves people and other dogs.
Easter is potty-trained and in the process of being crate-trained. She does have some separation anxiety when left alone, due to being abandoned by her former family. Continued crate-training and/or another dog in the home to keep her company will ease her mind. She would make a wonderful work-from-home companion, as she is quiet and calm. She is non-destructive.
Her ideal home is someone who works from home, or someone who wants a furry best friend to accompany them while grabbing coffee, food or visiting outdoor bars. She is very friendly with all dogs and people - you can’t help but fall in love with her gentle demeanor and mellow personality. She would thrive with another friendly dog in the household.
Easter is up-to-date on all vaccinations, spayed and microchipped! She is currently in a foster home in Tigard, OR.
