SAILOR is a big, beautiful American Bulldog who will be 5 years old shortly. She is spayed, microchipped and UTD on her vaccines including rabies and Bordetella. She’s definitely a girl for an active family and one who loves the outdoors as much as she goes.
SAILOR’s new foster home has another Bulldog and they took to each other right away and became instant friends. She’s crate trained and likes to sleep in there at night. She loves to sleep with a blanket and her stuffie. She will also go in there just to hang out during the day but she does also like to be on her dog bed. She’s house trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside for the bathroom.
SAILOR walks really well on her leash and just loves going on her daily walks or hikes. She’s a very strong girl so an experienced Bully breed owner is required for her. She was receiving training and we feel continued training would be beneficial for her still as long as it’s not with any tools such as a prong or e-collar as she doesn’t respond well to that type of harsh training.
SAILOR loves to go everywhere with you and especially enjoys car rides. She’s been boating and really enjoys being out on the water too. She likes to meet new people and has gained a lot of confidence and trust in them. She’s met many dogs and has been great with them as long as they are respectful to her. We’re recommending children 10 and older in the home just because she’s a strong girl and there’s a chance she could knock younger ones over.
SAILOR would love an active family to take her hiking in the woods, go on long walks and basically help her get the exercise she needs. Her foster’s working on her recall and it’s going very well but she’s not quite ready to be off leash on her hikes just yet. A fenced yard is recommended for her so she can run around outside with her toys and chase balls. Strong toys are a must for her as she really likes to try and chew them up.
If you feel you are can offer SAILOR the new life that she yearns for then please fill in an adoption application so you can meet her to see if she’s the one for your family.
