Say hello to Odin! This handsome boy appears to be a purebred Belgian Malinois and is around 2 years old. Odin came to Tails of Mana from a bad situation in Mexico where he was poisoned while in his foster's backyard. He was underweight, undersocialized, and scared of everyone! In the two months that he has been with his new foster, he has blossomed into the sweetest, smartest, and most well-mannered dog ever! It's amazing what love, attention, and a little training can do for a dog! Unlike most Belgian Malinois, Odin is on the calmer side and has a low-medium energy level. He bonds hard and fast with his person and loves nothing more than to cuddle as close to you as possible (which sometimes means on top of you). Despite his love of snuggling, he would happily join you for a hike or run and would make the best adventure buddy! Odin gets along great with other dogs and while he doesn't seek them out to play, he does enjoy their company. He is fostered with kitties and for the most part leaves them alone. With careful and attentive introductions, we think he could live with a dog savvy cat in his forever home.

Odin is crate trained, house trained and treat-motivated (aka fun to train). He rides well in the car and walks nicely on the leash (with a prong collar). He is perfectly compliant when getting a bath or his nails trimmed. Odin is looking for a family that is familiar with working breeds and will commit to his ongoing training and provide him with lots of activities that will stimulate his mind and help build his confidence.
