Meet Hansel
Hansel is an Australian Cattledog/ Red Heeler.
He currently weighs around 35 lbs.
Hansel was born in August 2022.
He joined our rescue in November 2022.
Hansel is a really sweet dog.
He is extremely smart, crate-trained, and potty-trained.
Hansel is currently in a foster home with other dogs and cats.
His foster has worked really hard at building his confidence and working with his nervousness. He has made incredible strides and is doing much better accepting new people into his circle.
He does take time to warm up and will need a lot of time to acclimate.
Due to his trepidation, he will not be adopted into a home with children.
He loves long walks, visiting the beach, and hiking.
He does extremely well at doggie daycare and at dog parks.
Hansel is not a fan of car rides or going to the vet. For his safety, as with all dogs, we recommend that he be harnessed to a seatbelt or ride in a carrier during car rides.
If you are interested in adopting Hansel, please contact us.

Additional adoption info
We are strong believers that every animal deserves a good home, but we also believe that not every animal is right for every home.
We take the time to learn about an animal's behavior and match it with the lifestyle of potential adopters. Adopters must fill out our adoption application, provide verifiable vet references, and agree to a screening and an at-home visit.
