My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Dublin in Gray, TN
I am a 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd blend, weighing 53 lbs. I am big softy and love to be close to my people. I am protective of my house and will go on alert and give a warning bark or two at strange noises outside so my family can check to let me know things are ok. Other than that, I am relatively a quiet boy.

I enjoy lounging around the house and really enjoy 'falling' on the couch. I am nowhere near as energetic as my aussie roommates, but I do enjoy a good romp around the backyard occasionally. I love to carry and toss my stuffies around, especially my unicorn, Sparkles. I love walks and do well on my leash. I want to make friends with everyone I see, so I will need continued training to better ignore passers-byers. I ride well in the car, and I am fully house trained and crate trained. I know basic commands; sit, stay, paw, lay. I am still young and little mouthy. I am getting much better with that. I'm very easy to redirect with firm 'no' and a chew safe toy.

I get along well with dogs but would pair the best with a female. I love dog savvy kids. Tween ages and up would be best for me. Dog savvy cats are ok, but I am reactive to cats that slap me. It is probably best for me to avoid chickens and small pets. I've never offered to hurt my foster mom's chickens or buns, but I sure enjoy chasing them if given the chance.
