Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jazlynn is a 2 year old Aussie that will melt your heart the minute you meet her. Jazlynn LOVES physical affection/touch, enjoys giving kisses, and thinks she’s a lap dog.
Jazlynn is great with people and has done well with all of the dogs she’s been introduced to, and she absolutely loves playing with squeaky toys! She’s learning to fetch and has not shown any resource aggression with people, but does occasionally get possessive of toys around other dogs when she’s over-excited. Although, once she is comfortable around the other dogs she seems much less concerned and shares toys well. She does good with other dogs but needs time to warm up to female pups. She has not been around cats however, she does seem to have a high prey drive so no cats in the home please.
Jazlynn is still learning to keep all four paws on the floor when meeting new people or seeking affection, but she is jumping much less and responds very well with a simple “No”. Jazlynn is medium-high energy level — she sleeps quietly all day as we work but is ready to run in the evenings and does well with about 1hr of structured exercise daily. For this reason, she would be fantastic in a home with an active family and kids over 10 (just because she tends to get overly excited and jump/get a little pushy with her body). Jazlynn loves running with people and also playing chase with other dogs! She’s a great running partner because she has good leash manners, and she’s also shown potential with agility because she is fearless on obstacles and will do anything for food! A fenced yard is preferred as long as her adopter is very active and can commit to at least an hour a day of play/running/walks, etc.
Currently, Jazlynn weighs about 55 lbs, but she’s slimming down with exercise and the vet believes her ideal weight is about 45 lbs.
Jazlynn is house-trained and doing better with crate training. She will bark when in the crate but eventually settles down and is learning to sleep in her crate at night. Other than those moments, Jazlynn hardly barks!
She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on heartworm/flea/tick prevention and is microchipped. A meet and greet is required with potential adopters.
