My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boone is a 54 lbs Boxer mix.  He is friendly and seems to be ok with other dogs....he loves to play.  He will need to meet any new housemate prior to adoption being approved.

Boone is around 1 yr old.  We do not know how he is with cats or children.  He keeps his kennel area clean for the most part but will have accidents on occasion.

If you are interested in Boone please stop at the shelter to meet him and complete an application.

8/9/2023---Boone is now enrolled in our prison training program so anyone interested in him must contact us to schedule an appointment to meet him. ***He is not at the shelter--meeting will occur at the prison. Please email to set up an appointment.

More about this shelter

We are the Morrow County Dog Shelter, operated by the county.
Our shelter houses stray and homeless dogs from our county. We are a small shelter with an annual intake between 250-400 dogs. Some of our available dogs go through a prison training program if they qualify.
Our adoption fee includes all basic vet care and it is completed before a dog goes to his/her new home. An adoption application is necessary for all dogs prior to an adopter being chosen.
