Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kiki and her sister Momo were surrendered by their owners when they could no longer afford to take care of them. Their mother was a rat terrier and we are guessing that dad may have been a long-haired dachshund. Her sister has been adopted, and now Kiki needs a wonderful home. Kiki is around 1 year of age and weighs 13 pounds. She is a bit of a wild child, very active, and needs further training on being calm and not jumping on people. She insists on sharing my desk chair when I am working on the computer. Kiki sleeps in a crate at night. She doesn't particularly like to be crated, but it is necessary since she is so active and still needs work with housetraining. Kiki is affectionate and gives lots of kisses. She is very playful and likes to run zoomies in the yard and wrestle with some of the other small dogs. She is a bit wary of big dogs and prefers to play with dogs around her same size. She would probably also be fine with cats if properly introduced. Kiki is small and must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that could hurt her. She must also be protected from raptors and other outdoor predators. Kiki must-have dog steps to get on and off the furniture so she does not hurt herself. Kiki must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a fenced yard to run and play.
Kiki is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Kiki is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Kiki's adoption fee covers the cost of ground transport to the northeast, pacific northwest, or Toronto Canada. She is being fostered in Texas and we do not have the resources to send her north until after she is adopted.
