My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flash was rescued from the meat trade industry in China in 2021. Now he is ~5 1/2 yo. I am hoping to find him a loving owner (or family) experienced with rescue dogs and/or breeds that have some stubborn qualities. I have worked w/Flash extensively in training. He knows many tricks and is very food motivated. (I'd love for his new owner/s be folks who will continue working with him this way). He's smart, aloof, lovably stubborn. His personality is a little bit Mariah Carey, Chris Farley, & Tarzan. :) He loves kids, people, dogs and car rides. He loves attention & will immediately put himself in the center of it. He's talkative too!
It's clear he's been through scary times though. He is missing a few teeth & has a slight tendency toward resource guarding chew bones or food scented things he finds on the ground. He is easily overstimulated & hypervigilant, but in 1.5 years he's settled more & more into free, safe doghood. He requires love, patience, diligence & a daily allergy pill.
