Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fifty pounds of dog exuberance and joy in an 11-pound body & that's Li-Li! This tiny girl is 5 years old but you wouldn't know it to see her jumping around like she's on springs. She is one of the friendliest, happiest and most loving dogs we have ever met. Her tongue starts licking whenever she gets within a foot of your face and she loves giving kisses to anyone she meets. Her joy and energy is especially remarkable considering a frightening ordeal in her past. When she was around three years old, Li Li was caught in a house fire and sustained significant burns as well as a broken leg. Lucky for her, she was rescued and spent months in a clinic regaining her health, and was then fortunate to be adopted by a wonderful owner who helped further her healing and brought her to the point she is today - happy, energetic, and loving life. Li-Li has healed remarkably well, although she does still bear a few scars from the fire: both of her eyes were damaged, and she has completely lost sight in one. For this, she requires daily eye medicine to prevent any further deterioration. In addition, her broken leg has healed, but she is still reluctant to put weight on it. Although these conditions will require monitoring, neither one is life threatening or appear to cause her pain, and we can attest that they don't seem to slow her down one bit! Her current owner has devoted years and incredible effort to bringing Li-Li back to health, and has done a truly remarkable job. Unfortunately, it has become apparent that Li-Li really needs to be the only dog in her household. Perhaps because of her limited eyesight, she doesn't "play nicely" with other dogs. Also, she can be easily startled awake and has occasionally nipped the air in self defense. For these reasons, Li-Li needs a quiet household where she can be the queen bee, with a family that is dog-savvy and understands her particular medical limitations and needs. If you can provide a loving home for Li-Li and are ready to get tons of dog-love in return, email, call or fill out an application online.
Issues: Due to being trapped in a housefire Li Li is blind in one eye, and requires daily antibiotic ointment in both eyes. Dog aggressive so needs to be only pet. No children please
