JULY 2023: Miss Penny is looking for a new mama; after bidding a final farewell to her 93-year-old former mom. She very much enjoys dogs her same small size but gets a bit intimidated by larger dogs (which most dogs are). Lately she has been coming to the kitchen with the other Rescue pack members, which indicates she is becoming more socialized with other dogs. Penny will use wee pads, but greatly prefers at-will access to a securely fenced backyard, which means you’ll need a dog door or a spring-loaded insert panel for 6’ patio sliding doors; She eats well (soft food from lack of teeth). She also has been munching Taste of the Wild High Prairie puppy-sized dry kibble,

Penny’s favorite daytime/evening spots are in her own bed either next to her person or on the back of the couch or chair right above her persons head; at night she likes to sleep again in her own bed alongside her person on their bed.
