Hi, I’m Stella !
I was born July 2021, to a litter of 6! I’m a very sweet girl, still looking for my forever home.

Not only am I adorable, but I’m still very much a kitten with my spunky, personality! I like attention; I will let you hold me for short periods of time! I will lay next to you on the couch and will come when you tap the cushions. I will always be the first to greet you at the door! I get along with other cats, dogs, and kids !

I am currently being fostered with my two sisters, Nina and Cali who are all up for adoption as well. I can also be adopted in combination with any sibling too, or without them to a loving home ♥ ( Follow this link to read more about my siblings!

The first step in our process is to fill out our online application at our website, www.care4strays.org. Once received, it will be reviewed by one of our trained volunteers. If approved, we'll be in touch to arrange a "meet and greet" with the animal. All of our cats/dogs are in private foster homes.

More about this rescue

Since our founding in 1995 by Lynn Cancro, Caring About The Strays (C.A.T.S.), Inc. has worked to find “forever homes” for abandoned, unwanted, neglected, or abused companion animals.

All the animals in our care are in foster homes, which helps socialize the cat or dog and allows us to identify the best type of home for each animal to ensure a successful adoption. We also work to reduce the overpopulation of feral cats with our Trap-Neuter-Release program. In addition, our team also strives to educate the public about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to decrease the number of unwanted pets.

C.A.T.S. is not a shelter in the traditional sense; we rely on private foster homes to house the many unwanted animals in our care.

Our Resale Shop (80 Kinderkamack Road in Westwood, NJ) helps fund our efforts. Please consider donating to our Resale Shop. Donations of brand-new and gently-used items are needed year-round and can be donated during shop hours Monday – Saturday 10:00 – 5:00.
