Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :)
Cello and his brother, Banjo are more than ready to go to their very own homes. It would be great for them to be adopted together, but that is not necessary. We would say they are Pug mixes. Banjo is a little shorter and stockier, he looks like he could have Corgi in him, which is called a "Porgi", lol!
Cello has the Pug look as well, but is a little taller. He looks like a Pug/Shepard mix, also called a Shug. If you google this mix you will see a couple dogs that look just like Cello. It is possible to have different fathers for the same littler of pups, so that could explain their differences. How fun to have such a unique little dog, and what a potentially odd combination!!
Banjo absolutely adores my husband, looks at him with such adoration, follows him around the yard and makes him feel extra special(someone has to do it, lol!) He also LOVES his toys, will grab any toy or ball he can hurry up and get a hold of and take it to his bed or special spot. He will play toss...not fetch...that would mean he had to give up his toy! He is a sweet, funny guy and has met a couple families and was awesome with them. He loved the belly rubs from the (older) kids and was very happy and friendly.
Although both boys are very friendly, Cello is the one that seeks attention a bit more and is a tad more outgoing. He likes to hang out with the other dogs, groom them and is a bit more attentive. He does like to play and be involved with the group, where Banjo is fine just chillin' on his own.
Both boys when indoors are very peaceful and quiet, they find a bed or blanket to lay on and relax. They do sleep in a crate at night, and are more than happy to snuggle in with a couple of treats or a treated kong. They are also well mannered, are not destructive and are housebroken, they are very easy to care for. But, they could use an experienced dog owner, and probably would do better in a home without small children. They are 3 years old and about 30 pounds. (they put on a little weight here, but are working on shedding a couple pounds!)Cello's adoption fee is $250, or both Cello and Banjo can be adopted for $400. They will go home with tons of supplies to help them settle into their new home! Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.
