My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Weight: 15lbs
Special Considerations: weight loss diet, pain medication

Meet Bebe! This lady is pretty shy and takes a little time to come out of her shell, but once she’s out, she’s super sweet. She loves belly rubs and cuddling when she’s comfortable and prefers when people are nearby for her meals. She is currently on a weight loss diet and needs her intake monitored while she works toward her goal weight. She has mild mobility issues in her back legs, but is comfortable with a daily pain medication.

Bebe has some barrier reactivity here at the shelter but does well meeting dogs and people in open spaces. She is good for baths and nail trims, but does shake with fear in new situations so she’ll need positive reinforcement training only in her forever home. She is looking for a patient adopter who will let her warm up in her own time She can live with other dogs and is likely fine with cats, but she would do best in a home without young or energetic children. If you’re ready for a snuggly sweetheart who just wants a soft place to land, call to learn more about Bebe!

Bebe l is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
