My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Gia and I've been in foster care a long time now. I came to my foster home last June with my two sisters when we were only 9 weeks old. Both my sisters have found their forever homes already. I'm happy for them but I keep wondering when it will be my turn.

Whoever adopts me will get the best cuddles around. I love resting as much of my 62 lb body on my mom's lap as I can after a long day. I'm so happy when we get to sit down and watch a movie and she just snuggles with me the whole time.

I love to meet new people and I get so excited to just smother them with affection. But sometimes I am cautious when I have to do something new or when I see something for the first time. Foster mom says I'm a goofy girl, but I try to tell her, you just never know what that plastic bag blowing in the yard will do. I have to bark at it a few times to make sure it's safe before I let her throw it away.

I used to be the baby around here for a long time, but then foster mom brought home some small babies one day and I didn't know what to think. At first, I didn't understand why they were afraid of me. I just wanted to run and jump and play with them. I quickly figured out that they were scared and I was so much bigger than them so I had to be gentle. Now I'm the BEST big sister and it's my favorite job. I teach them everything I know about how to ask for treats, play with toys and where the best nap spots are.

Foster mom says I'm really smart too. I can sit, lay down and I come when I'm called. I even learned how to ask her for a special treat by pointing to the right drawer after I watched my foster sister do it a few times. And when she has to leave to run errands I know to go right in my kennel and patiently wait for my treat.

I am potty trained, kennel trained, up to date on all my shots, spayed and microchipped. My adoption fee is $250. If you'd like to me me please fill out an application at https://form.jotform.com/73194734170154
