My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sassy is one of a few seniors we pulled from the Lancaster Shelter. When we met her, she had nearly softball-sized tumors that were making it very difficult for her to walk.
The shelter thought they were large mammary masses, but it turns out both were actually hernias. They were pushing her spleen and uterus out, which is why they looked so large. The surgery was quite involved, but the great news is she is feeling great. We are not sure if she will ever be able to walk well, but she gets around surprisingly good. She is affectionate, loving and and quite spirited, just as her name implies. You can see videos of her on our Instagram page which is @thebrittanyfoundation. We do require visits here to our rescue in Agua Dulce, CA, and in person home checks, so adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, CA area.
