Meet Kay!
Kay is a loving, smart, but protective girl. She would do best with a single person who's willing to put Kay up if company comes over. She is very loving & sweet with us, but apparently selective with people once in a home. Kay is leash trained and house trained, doesn't mess up anything in the home.
Adoption Fee: $75
Requirements: Experienced & Patient dog person, Fenced yard
An adopter should expect it to take time for Kay to settle into a new home and routine, take things slow, don't have company over until a bond is established. We can help you with the process.
Kay is living in our boarding facility and does well with our staff ages 14 to 60 years old, males and females. Kay has never shown an aggression towards us. When she was adopted out previously, she did charge some family members.
Kay's previous pet parents spent a lot of time with her, taught her many commands, and deeply loved them. Sadly, they fell on hard times, lost their home and surrenderd all 4 pets of their to CARE. Kay once lived with a doberman female and 2 senior cats.
If interested in giving this sweet girl the forever home she deserves, apply today!
A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
The most accurate and complete information about available dogs can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org.
