Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** FIV positive **
My friends and I were a transplant from another rescue in Mississauga that was shutting down. I made a lovely first impression for a while of hissing at you and glaring daggers anytime eye contact was made. With much time and patience, my hardy exterior slowly crumbled. I’ve certainly come a long way since, but I am by no means perfect. I like humans now, but only on my terms. I’m happy to approach you and give you headbutts, and that’s my signal to you that I’m willing to receive affection. I do not like being picked up. I’m also quick to let you know when I’m done with a gentle swat or nibble. I am very food motivated, especially tube treats and freeze dried chicken, and I really, really love chicken nuggets and French fries. I indulge in toys sometimes and I enjoy my catnip, but I’m mostly about my people and foods. I’m very healthy for my age, and I recently recovered from a dental surgery where I had a couple of extractions. I do have FIV which essentially means I have a weakened immune system, and am more susceptible to disease/infection. I require no additional treatment than that of a non-FIV cat, just a low-stress environment with a quality diet and routine vet care. I tolerate other cats quite well, so I’m happy to either go to a home with another friend, or by myself.Applications are reviewed in order received until an appropriate match is made.

More about this rescue
We take in cats that are abandoned or born in colonies that animal control for the area does not wish to accept or keep. We also take cats that other rescues cannot place (due to location, age, colour, or quantity). We will take owner surrenders if other options are unwilling to take. In short, we take in cats that have few to no other options.
