My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you been looking for a pup to laugh with you, cry with you, and most importantly cheer you up during your worst moments? Neo would make the perfect man for the job! Neo is a three-year-old dog who has been waiting to find the human who complements him best. Despite his young age, he has already been rehomed at least once and was most recently found as a stray. While he has enjoyed the new digs at HSHC, Neo thinks it’s about time he graduates from a kennel into a forever home.

Neo has quickly become a staff favorite, with many saying he has the softest fur in the universe, gives the best snuggles you’ve ever had, and provides constant companionship whenever needed. He’s practically the staff therapy pup! Neo loves to run around and be goofy, but he can also settle down nicely and chill on the couch for hours. The great news is that Neo passed his cat test with flying colors, so if there’s a feline friend at home, they are likely to get along just fine. Plus, Neo absolutely loves sitting in laps, making him the perfect cuddle buddy.

Neo isn`t just looking for a new family; he`s looking for a new best friend, companion, and someone to count on for the rest of his days. Do you think you’re the one for him?

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
