My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TUCKER and BASKETTA are a bonded pair of adult cats--Tucker is 6 years old and Basketta is about 7.  TUCKER is a slightly fluffy pale orange male, and BASKETTA is a white female with black patches – a “cow” kitty.  Tucker came to our cat rescue when his human passed away, and Basketta was dropped off at a local vet in a basket!  They are both very shy kitties who hid for the first couple of weeks in their foster home. They bonded with each other, and now are the best of friends – they love each other very much.  And with time and patience, their wonderful personalities have blossomed!  Tucker loves to sleep with you, and his favorite thing to do is to burrow underneath blankets. He will let you hold him across your chest, he really enjoys being brushed and petted, and he can be vocal when he gets lonely. Basketta is timid but very sweet, and will sit on your chest or right next to you purring.  She is needy of affection, and loves nothing more than to snuggle and nap with her person anytime they’re around.  Both of these cats were very scared and wary of people when they first arrived, but now they are so affectionate with their foster mom.  This pair will make a wonderful addition to a quiet home with no kids or other pets, and where someone is home alot.  Tucker and Basketta need a patient adopter who understands that the most loving kitties are worth the wait it takes for them to feel safe and come out of their shells.

They have been altered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, are in excellent health, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet TUCKER and BASKETTA in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The $170 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
