My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 05/16/2010: Olivia is a sweet 3.5 month old 2.5 lb little girl who was rescued along with her brother, Derby. She is feeling much better since being rescued and is recovering from an upper respiratory infection which she likely contracted at the shelter. She is a sweet, playful little girl and is a little alpha. She doesn't like when other dogs come up to her and try to take her bully stick or greenie. She gives them a growl and shows her teeth that for a brief moment you might think she was a much bigger dog! lol. Olivia will receive her second set of puppy shots this week and will be spayed in about 6 weeks. We are accepting applications but will not be placing Olivia into a home with children under 12 years of age for her safety.

INITIAL BIO 05/02/2010: My name is Olivia. I am just a little peanut at only 2.3 lbs. I am 3 months old and am here with Derby (maybe my brother??). We are the two newest kids on the block and are so lucky to have been rescued by UYR. We were confiscated by the Animal Cops (the same ones as on Animal Planet!!), but foster mommy doesn't know our story. We prefer to put all of that behind us now and are here looking for a new home!

A little about me...... OK, I'm little. I may only weigh around 5-6 lbs at most when fully grown. I like to give kisses and play with my foster fur-brothers and sisters. I TRY to remember to wee wee on the wee wee pad.... but sometimes I forget. oopsie! I like the other pups, but I don't like when they try and steal my treats or my food. Foster mommy was so amazed to hear such a ferocious growl come out of such a tiny body! I wasn't feeling well when FM picked us up from the shelter. I was lethargic and have an eye infection. All that's been treated, and I am now full of pep! Foster mommy had to clip lots and lots of matts off my little behind, because I had poopies stuck on me. For that reason, once I am done with my puppy shots I will need to have a professional grooming to try and even myself out. For now, I am just feeling so much better.

Olivia's Foster mom here.... It is going to be a while before Olivia is ready for adoption. We will not be entertaining any adopters who have children younger than 12 years old. Also, all of the information we have on Miss Olivia will be posted in a timely manner. I am anticipating receiving more than 100 applications for this one little lady. I may not be able to keep up with emails in addition to my other rescue duties. Please stay tuned for updates on Olivia. Please be patient with me and please consider all of our wonderful rescued pets.
