My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gus is a loving companion dog who has never met a stranger. He greets all humans and other animals (dogs or cats) with a wag and a smile.
He was adopted 7 years ago by a woman who loves him dearly but unfortunately can no longer care for him because of health issues due to ageing.
He has excellent house manners, is mostly very laid back but also loves to play. When Gus was one year old, he was bitten by a larger dog in a dog park and lost his right eye. You can see from his pictures that he is quite handsome in spite of that. There were no issues with healing from his surgery and he functions quite fine with his good eye. Gus is probably not pure bread - he's a little larger than most ShihTzus (about 17lbs). He thinks he is a big dog. He's strong and stocky and a healthy weight.
Gus does not shed, but needs grooming about every 8 weeks or else his fur grows quite long.
