Say hi to Beau! He is an 11-year-old Bichon Frise. He is looking for a very special home. Not every person will want to adopt him because of his background. Beau was a breeding dog in a puppy mill. He was never socialized with people and remains very skittish when approached. He’s made significant strides since he arrived at FLFO in April 2022 and may eventually grow to trust people. But for now, he’s still wary. He really loves affection and being petted once you can get him to approach you.

Beau does best when he is with other dogs. He gains confidence with them and sees them interacting with people to learn he can trust them. Beau has perfect crate training manners and does well when left alone.

Beau absolutely must go to a home with a secured, fenced yard. When he gets scared, he tries to flee. Beau has never walked on a leash, despite our efforts. He freezes in place. If you think you have what it takes to give Beau a patient, loving home, we’d love to hear from you!

Please note that FLFO requires a home visit, therefore, we can only adopt within a 40-mile radius of Baldwin, MD. Thank you for understanding.
