Delilah was left behind when her owners moved, and the landlord wanted to send her to the shelter.
She was pregnant, and there was no question that we couldn't send her to the shelter because her chances and the puppies staying alive were about zero.
Delilah gave birth to 9 beautiful puppies on January 8th. Unfortunately, only seven survived.
Delilah is about two years old and 52 lbs.
She is ready to come to the NJ area on the next transport when she's adopted.
Things to know about Delilah:
Sits on command.
She listens when she's told, "No jump," while excited when the foster goes in the pen with her.
Rolls over for belly rubs
Not a mean bone in her body!!
Delilah is a strong girl like all shepherds are.
She’s learning to heal when the foster walks her, but she will need more training.
We recommend no cats.
Needs a high-fenced yard. Preferably not chain link because she can climb on it.
Gets along with other dogs.
She loves water!!! She sits in her water during the HOT summer with over 110 degrees in the south.
She loves attention and would sit in your lap all day if she could.
The best fit for Delilah will be:
We prefer an experienced owner with the breed!!
Because of her strength, we recommend children older than 13
Active family
High-fenced-in backyard
Someone who wants the love of a Shep girl!!
*Dogs that are posted are available to be adopted.
