Meet the gorgeous Victoria! Her foster family only has amazing things to say about her. She loves the outdoors, playing fetch and is happy to be apart of everything going on around the house. She also enjoys a good cuddle on the couch and is happy to sleep quietly through the night on her foster moms bed or on a comfy dog bed on the floor. She has no issues being left alone while her foster mom is at work, her toys and naps keep her busy without any destruction or barking.
As a puppy, Victoria had one of her front legs amputated (we think after being hit by a car). She gets around extremely well but because of her body shape, a lot of pressure gets put on the remaining front leg. For that reason, we fitted her for a wheelchair which should be arriving to her soon! This will help relieve that pressure and allow her the opportunity to go on longer walks, play longer and ensure she lives a comfortable life.
Victoria would fit into most households as she is so friendly but we think she would be happiest in an active home who will offer her lots of outdoor activities and play time. She can be shy when meeting new people and animals but after a bit of time, warms up nicely so a patient home is also required for her. A home without a lot of stairs would likely be ideal for her wheelchair but at the moment, she does stairs just fine!
If you are looking for the perfect new family member and think your home would be a good match for Victoria, please complete an adoption application here: https://www.ruffstartrescuesociety.com/adoption-application-form and one of our directors will be in contact with you via email within a couple business days
