URGENT DEADLINE 08/20/23 Name: Muscles Animal ID: A782280 Age: 3 years Weight: 66 lbs. About: Don’t be fooled by his tough guy name! Muscles is a friendly guy with tons of friends- here’s what a couple of them had to say: “Muscles is one of my favorite walking companions. He greets me warmly (huge grin and wiggling backside) when I walk past his kennel, and he welcomes me enthusiastically when I enter. Leashing can be a bit of a challenge as he runs around the kennel in his excitement, but we get the job done and are quickly on our way. Once away from the shelter our walk is mostly loose-leash. He loves exploring in the wash, and we take our time to meander from bush to bush and check all the scents. He checks in regularly with good eye contact. If he senses that there is an opportunity for a treat, he will sit patiently while a fumble for a snack, which he takes from my hand with a gentle mouth. He is very comfortable with touch, so I give him a few extra strokes once the treats are gone. I look forward to exploring with him again soon.” “Muscles and I had a great morning walk yesterday. We walked south through the desert area, and he enjoyed sniffing around, walking 90% of the time on a loose leash. He took treats gently. If he demands more treats, I just walk on, and he quickly gets back to exploring his surroundings and forgets about the treats.” Muscles lived in his prior home most of his life after being taken in as a sick puppy. He’s an active, energetic dog and was reportedly housebroken. His former people said that he’s an amazing dog with his trusted people and is a playful and protective boy. Muscles loves to have his ears rubbed and has lived with another dog. Muscles is dog selective so he will have to meet any dogs he would be going home with but might do best as an only dog in the home. Muscles does have two bites on his record, one was when his collar broke while being walked and he ran up to a stranger, the other bite we don’t have information. If you think your home could be a good fit for Muscles No need to hit the gym- head to PACC before 08/20/23 and ask to meet Muscle!
