Gilligan loves other cats; he must have a feline companion to feel safe. He’s a scaredy cat, too. He came from a terrible hoarding situation with poor conditions, little food, and almost 100 cats, mostly in cages. It made him fearful, but when he’s comfortable he is so loving with a big purr. Gilligan needs an understanding, patient owner. Food is the key to his heart. He loves to play, so playtime with you and/or his cat friend(s) makes him happy. In his foster home, he is out and about all day but he’s shy about being touched and will often run, unless it’s wet food time or bedtime. He sleeps on the bed with his foster mom and other cats and loves a morning session of petting. When picked up, he likes to be held close, otherwise he will get scared and jump.
His foster mom loves him and hopes there is a person or family that will love him as much, despite his quirks. He won’t show his charms at first. Gilligan will need to acclimate to his new home and people, but he’s worth it. He hasn’t been around kids and older ones are preferred as he is skittish with sudden movements and loud noises. He would probably adapt to an easy going dog, and he likes other animals.
Gilligan was born approximately November 1, 2021, and his adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweetheart at our adoption center this weekend!
