My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact foster parent at lashleydunc11@aol.com

In a few words, Indy can be described as an incredibly intelligent energizer bunny.
He loves children and has done well in a household with cats and dogs*.
Once he gets to know you, he is a huge cuddle bug! He fully expects to share a pillow with his human every night. You will never have to worry about being cold mid-winter again!
He is uber smart and has taught himself a lot of tricks all on his own! He knows how to open doors (only to get to his favorite people to make sure they are safe) and will bring his leash to you when he wants to go out. He knows how to pick up his mess if you tell him `get your ball` if he ever leaves it in an inconvenient spot. And he loves his ball!
If his human isn`t quite getting what he wants, he will take them gently by the hand to lead them. Sometimes he will even walk the other dogs if a leash is dropped.
He loves long grass and standing on outdoor furniture (he learned that we in fact cannot stand on the inside dining table but foster mom does not care if I stand on the outdoor table, pool box, pool recliner or anything else outside). Really, he is probably part billy goat without the headbutts to your gonads. So if you ever wanted a pet goat but your stinky HOA won`t let you have one......
He would need at least a 4.5ft tall fence as he has mad hops.
Indy is VERY athletic and does absolutely need an outlet. He is looking for a VERY active home or a sporting/working home. This really is one of THE BEST dogs anyone will have the privilege of owning but not everyone has the brains and physical aptitude for him (which is true for most working dogs). So if you are one of those special someone`s, we definitely want to hear from you!
Indy currently participates in cani-cross and we hope to have him evaluated for agility and flyball soon.
I have fostered for 15 years, a huge variety of dogs (mostly highly intelligent working breeds) and I will say, Indy has blown me away. He has so much potential that I know he is going to make someone incredibly happy and proud.

*Indy is dog friendly for the most part but does have some resource guarding around toys and high value areas. 90% of the time he is completely fine. This is where an experienced owner comes in who is used to working dogs who can have moments of intensity. We have managed him very successfully for over a year in a large pack of pups. It is very doable but a lot of average d
