A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY PLACEMENT. YOU WILL FIND THE ONLINE APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org. AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET IS NOT THE SAME THING. WITHOUT YOUR DETAILED INFORMATION, WE HAVE NO BASIS FOR A CONVERSATION.
Echo is a purebred sable and white rough Collie. He is an intact male (but not for long!) and at 13 months old already weighs 64#. We predict he will be an 85#, drop-dead gorgeous long-haired Collie that will attract a crowd of admirers wherever he goes. He is gentle and sweet and is learning quickly what it means to be an affectionate companion. His health is excellent and he has all the pertinent vaccines and is microchipped.
Echo had been an outdoor only breeder dog in Missouri but he is practicing to be a country gent here in Colorado. He greets new people with a big smile and seems to have never met a stranger. It will be interesting to see him with children since we have not had that opportunity yet. But I believe he will relate to kids just like his distant cousin Lassie would. That loving nature is part of the DNA of a Collie.
Rocky Mountain Collie and Sheltie Rescue is responsible for the costs of Echo's neuter and we will schedule it ASAP. If we place Echo in his forever home before that happens, we will pay for it at the veterinary clinic of the adopter's choice.
We are extremely particular about the placement of each dog in our program. Please read about the requirements for adoption on our website and if you don't met those standards, please don't send an application. We hate to disappoint humans but with us, it is "Doggies First." Thanks for thinking of us. We would like to help you find your next best friend.
