My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever, Harry is the pup you want to have around! Harry, between 12 and 18 months old and approximately 35 lbs is just naturally a lover. When he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt. Harry is a cute as can be Bull Terrier with all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular breeds that make excellent family pets.

Harry, while initially shy in his foster home, now has fallen in love with his foster mom and has become the ultimate cuddle bug. He loves his people more than anything and would definitely win a snuggle but of the year award. Harry, once comfortable in his new environment, loves to cuddle close on the couch for TV watching or just hanging out with his favorite people. An occasional kiss from Harry is inevitable. He's a sensitive and very sweet dog who derives so much joy from his time spent with his people and his doggy best friends.

Harry is a young, playful and silly guy who will love his family with all his heart. He would enjoy another gentle dog to play with but that isn't absolutely necessary if his people are present and loving. Harry will have so much fun exploring and taking long hikes along Colorado's gorgeous paths and trails. He is always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude...just say the word and up Harry jumps for a car ride, a fun backyard game or just a sociable walk around the neighborhood.

Harry's rescuer had the following to brag about this sweet guy:

Harry is a stunning purebred Bull Terrier with a beautiful face and the prettiest and wisest eyes ever. Sweet Harry is between 1 and 2 years old, weighs 35 lbs and gets more loving, silly and engaging every single day.

Farfel's Rescue and our Texas rescuers would love to see Harry in a home with a family (older kids are preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see Harry left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home as he seems to be too sensitive for that type of arrangement. Harry will thrive on spending his days near his people..getting loved up periodically throughout the day.

We'd like to place Harry in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A virtual or in-person positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt Harry to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area.

Harry appears to be, and his breed would support, that he's either a non-shedding or lightly shedding dog. We can't swear to this as his coat is currently shelter-sad. After sudsy baths and a healthy diet, Harry's coat will emerge in all its beauty. Our gorgeous Harry will therefore require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths / brushing and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are great lifelong protocols for coat care and general health) to keep his coat cottony-soft and shining with great health.

Harry has been thoroughly vetted. He's is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and completely healthy. This vetting protocol is in line with our commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs that won't contribute to the overpopulation within the canine population.

Harry will be arriving on transport in Denver in mid-March (we'll update once date is confirmed). Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet, loving and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Harry please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
