My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Brownie. I'm a little afraid of men still but getting better if you're kind, gentle and soft spoken otherwise I do prefer women. I'm looking for my furever home where you will allow me to take time to get to know you and you'll allow me to get close to you on my schedule but if you have toys for me then I'm in! I came from a situation of many dogs that made me food and toy protective but I like to run and play with another small dog if you have a friend for me we'll just need to be fed separately. I love to play outside with my toys and I walk very nicely on a leash on my evening walks. I'm learning to trust humans again you'll find my tail wagging a lot. I know with the right kind human I can become my best self and your best friend. I'm a good looking boy with lots of energy but I enjoy snuggling in my dog bed and napping too. If you give me a chance to learn to trust again I'd love to feel confident enough to snuggle next to you on the couch and even in your big bed if you'll allow me. If you think you're my new best friend please come see me at Never Forgotten Animal Society in Pahrump, NV I'm looking forward to meeting you!Our pets are "New Home Ready", meaning adopted animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated including rabies and have a microchip. These services are all included in our adoption fee.

NFASI is open Monday through Saturday 10am-5pm and hold adoption events periodically around the Pahrump area. Please call to confirm the pet you are interested in is still available (775) 537-8674 and onsite (or we can make arrangements for their Foster Parent to bring them in).

Foster homes & volunteers are always needed please contact us regarding how you can foster or volunteer for our organization.

Go meet their pets

If you are interested in a specific pet, please CALL the shelter (775-537-8674) to verify availability and make sure the pet is on site - many of our pets are in foster homes so they can receive individual care, attention and regular exercise not afforded by keeping kept in a shelter.

We are located at 3091 N. David St. just north of Bell Vista between Leslie & Blagg Rd. in Pahrump, NV.

We often have adoption events at the office location or offsite - Like us on Facebook or watch our website for more details!

Thank you!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization formed to rescue animals in need and to provide low cost spay/neuter clinics in the town of Pahrump and the Nye County areas of Nevada.

Our team of caring and experienced animal care specialists love reuniting companions with their owners or until we can find permanent loving forever homes for animals in need. We provide a safe and clean environment for lost, surrendered or abandoned animals until they can be reunited with their rightful owners or to find permanent homes for animals who cannot be reunited with their rightful owners. Our mission is to reduce euthanasia of healthy adoptable animals through Animal Rescue and Spay and Neuter Clinics in Pahrump.
