Fabulous Kalli came to us from Colorado Springs as an owner surrender. She was a well-loved and cared for dog in her former home, and it shows! Kalli is a real peach – well-adjusted, affectionate, and super fun – who can’t WAIT to have a new forever family to call her own!
This social girl loves humans and their company. As can be typical with many BCs, Kalli takes her job as a human shadow quite seriously - where her person goes, she goes! And after a nice long walk or romp at the park, she will curl up at your feet just to make sure you don’t sneak off and try to do something fun without her.
This petite girlie loves people, and balls, so can you guess what is her all-time favorite thing in the world???? That’s right – a person throwing a ball! Kalli is a shameless fetch-a-holic - grab a ball and you are her new best friend! For Kalli, there is nothing better than a little quality time with you and a Chuck-It. If there is no available human or ball around, Kalli enjoys a good game of tug and a wrestling match with the BC boy in her foster home. She seems to get along with most other dogs, but like a lot of female BCs, she can get a little snippy at times so she may not do well with another bossy female. Kalli is also a bit of a herdy girl, especially with cats, but has lived with dog-savvy felines in the past. Overall she’s a pretty high energy girl, and with her smarts, speed, and energy, she would probably excel in a dog sport such as flyball, agility, or disc dog.
Kalli has already quite a bit of learning under her belt as well. She’s housetrained, cratetrained, and has some of the basics down pat too. Kalli doesn’t much care for being left alone, and tends to bark a bit and may find something to chew to fill her people void when home alone. However, we are finding that with plenty of exercise and appropriate chew toys, Kalli is more than happy to stay out of trouble when the humans are away. Like a lot of bright, confident BCs, Kalli will test limits and can be a little pushy, especially when it comes to fetching, so will need an adopter who will set limits for her to help her be the most enjoyable canine companion she can be, as well as continue working on more advanced training with her.
Kalli will thrive in an active home that will provide her with lots of exercise, fair boundaries, much ball tossing, lots of companionship and of course, endless attention. With a great personality and loaded with skills, this go-getter is all ready to march her way directly into a new home and into the hearts of some lucky family. If you are looking for an all-round great BC and look forward to a life filled with lots of fetch, outdoor adventures, and snuggles galore with an adorable canine character, Kalli may be the girl for you!
