Dogs: Drako would prefer to be the only pet but will tolerate calm animals who give him space.

Behavior: Cuddly and timid.
This handsome senior boy is Drako. He is a cuddly boy who is quite timid and shy. He spent most of his years living in a shelter environment and is now looking to retire in a warm comfy home with someone who is looking to spoil a sweet little lap dog.
Since arriving into his foster home, Drako has really come out of his shell. For the first while he didn’t move far from his “safe spot” but is now wandering around comfortably and more confident. He is still learning to walk on a leash (this is something he has never done before) and does best walking in a quiet neighborhood away from loud vehicles and busyness.
Drako would do best in a quiet and relaxed home who will offer him patience while he settles in. He is smart and doing well with his housetraining but will need his adopter to continue this with him. He sleeps happily in his comfy crate throughout the night and often needs to be woken up in the morning for breakfast.
Drako is looking for a home with somebody who is home more often than not or can take him with them as he does not enjoy being alone (he will bark if left alone more than a few hours) As he gets more comfortable, this can improve with some training but because of this, an attached living situation would not be ideal for him.
