Rosie is a very sweet, shy, cuddly and bouncy little girl. She enjoys her ear rubs, cuddling with her people and going on walks in warmer weather. She is smart, curious, and sassy. Her foster family adores her and thinks she will make an excellent companion for someone special.
Rosie is looking for a quiet home with someone who can offer her patience and guidance. She can be quite timid of loud noises and fast movements so would be happiest in a home without young children or energetic animals. She has learned a lot in her foster home after being a street dog. She is housetrained but does have set backs in cold weather or in new environments but will go on a pee pad.
Currently, Rosie sleeps soundly in her crate throughout the night but needs some convincing to get in. She also eats her meals and treats in her crate as she's learning that it's safe and nobody is going to steal her food. She can resource guard her food if someone approaches too closely but will give a little warning to let you know she's feeling uncomfortable. For this reason young children would not be suited for her.
Rosie had a small lump removed from her side that was tested and it was a liposarcoma. It was fully removed and she is now in good health.
She is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.
If you are looking for the perfect new family member and think your home would be a good match for Rosie, please complete an adoption application here: https://www.ruffstartrescuesociety.com/adoption-application-form and one of our directors will be in contact with you via email within a few business days.
